This is a queen-sized, hand-embroidered quilt. My client and I created a sashiko inspired map of the island where she grew up - Orcas Island. Musubi-kikko triangle-bands cross the island while waves gently roll around the island. Together, the thousands of hand-stitches create an effect far greater than the parts.
